Sr. Product Specialist is a Night Vision Product Subject Matter Expert, supporting Product Line Management (PLM) through requirement advisement and administrative support as it relates to technical development and product sustainment.

Developmental Engineering Support:

• Support PLM department in defining product requirements
• Support Engineering in understanding and defining requirement based, product specifications.
• Be the Customer representative. Offering a user perspective within the development process.
• Support PLM in judging value-based pricing and product pricing approvals.
• Handle customer inquiries, issues, general questions, through customer calls/emails.
• Expect frequent communication with various internal customers / personnel related to ad-hoc product inquiries.
• Participate in Trouble Report Review Boards (TRRB)
• Provide Trouble Reports (TR) to Engineering as possible issues are discovered.
• Support engineering field testing.
• Independently scrutinize Release Candidate products above and beyond standard engineering testing. Then provide feedback and TRs before product releases (test systems configurations like the End User would use them)
• Provide standard system kit configurations as designed by systems engineering.
• Manage PLM department’s capital assets and requirements.

Product Sustainment Support:

• Support PLM in defining and prioritizing Engineering Aide (EAID / Factory Aide) sustainment requirements.
• Manage editing / adding new & existing products to product descriptions, data sheets, training aides and technical material.
• Create product release notes.
• Provide inputs to PLMs on Sales Force Bulletins (SFB).
• Maintain tight relationship with Product Service organization.

Program & BD / Sales Support:

• Request for Information (RFI) / Capture / Request for Quote (RFQ) technical resource. Reviews documentation for technical accuracy.
• Aide engineering and PLM on white paper creation.
• Collaborate with sales team on new opportunities.
• Track new product demonstration assets and maintain a “demo log”.
• Support new product demonstrations and trials as required (Planning & execution)
• Participate in Opportunity Reviews
• Provide technical support for new products within the field.
• Provide BD / Sales / PM teams training on new & existing products.
• Trade show support for New Products with consideration to legacy technical support as approved by PLM.
• Technical briefing support as approved by PLM.
• Gather Competitive Intel and share it with PLM / BD / Sales
• Accurately maintain ‘BD Stock’ equipment to track location for bi-annual inventory audit. Ensure BD stock equipment is in good working order prior to going on consignments

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, business management or relevant work experience will be considered.
• 5 years of Night Vision Device user experience
• 5 years of technical / commercial product support experience (Night vision preferred)
• 3 years of technical presentation / briefing experience
• Self-Starter
• Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, be very detail orientated, and have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Desire to be customer facing and willingness to interact with cross-functional development teams
• Above average working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required.
• Up to 40% travel require
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Sales Force or Strategy experience a bonus.
• Preferred education level is a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, business management or a closely related field; including bachelor’s degree in contract administration, public administration, business management or a closely related field.
