Job Description:
The Manufacturing Scheduler ensures smooth production operations by creating and managing production schedules, issuing and tracking work orders, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials to the production floor. The role is key in optimizing efficiency, addressing production challenges, and ensuring that production goals are consistently met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet production goals.
- Maintain vendor timelines to ensure deliveries are met.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure all materials, tools, and resources are available on time for production.
- Balance labor and machine capacity to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Identify and resolve production disruptions and address productivity issues as they arise.
- Report on production status, issues, and performance metrics to upper management on a regular basis.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
- Prepare and submit detailed status and performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control procedures.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in using material requirements planning (MRP) and scheduling software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information across all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
- Experience in Production planning or materials management.
- Knowledge of purchasing, production planning, material expediting, and MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Management experience in a production setting is a plus.
