Supervises procurement, planning, and stockroom/shipping/receiving teams to ensure quality and timely parts for manufacturing/customer. Flex inventory levels to meet the future sales plan. Plans and assigns responsibilities, recommends improvements in methods and processes, and implements policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Supervise, coach, communicate, train, lead and mentor the materials team staff.

· Assists with negotiations of suppliers for good and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.

· Establishes purchasing & inventory policies too ensure compliance.

· Assist in the development of new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.

· Conduct supplier and internal quality audits.

· Assist all manufacturing managers in planning and maintaining production schedules.

· Assists manufacturing managers with performance measures and provides regular progress reports.

· Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; constantly utilizing best practices.

· Leader of assessing and implementing process improvements..

· Owner of flexing inventory and maintaining proper inventory levels with the sales status.

· Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.

· Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.

· Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in a business related area, or a minimum of 3 years experience, in procurement & materials environment, plus a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

· Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization and external contacts.

· The ability to effectively influence others.

· Demonstrated strong negotiating skills.

· Solid decision making skills.

· Proficient in office organization and management.

· PC Proficiency.

· MRP and ERP Proficiency.
