Must possess an understanding of the selective solder operations and processes. Demonstrate the ability to set-up the selective solder machine and run jobs from start to finish with moderate supervision. Must be decisive and have the capability to solve soldering and flux issues with or without the help from management or Mfg. Engineering. Use of product drawings, bill of materials and other provided product information is essential. Verify that the selective solder folder documentation for each product process is accurate, and update as needed with help from the selective solder technician or from management. Must strive to meet EMSG’s quality standards. Ensure that board assemblies need a minimum to no touch-up work, and that jobs are completed in a timely manner.

Perform periodic cleaning and preventive maintenance on the selective solder machine, including solder pot and pump cleaning, and perform daily upkeep of the work area.

Ensure that proper safety measures are maintained at all times. Goggles or glasses are required when operating the selective solder machines.

Must demonstrate the ability, knowledge, and communication skills to train additional personnel on the procedures of machine operation, job setup, proper component installation procedures, maintenance of the machines, and upkeep of the work area as required.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be capable of hand assembly. May be required to use hand tools and power tools. Job assembly may require standing or sitting. May be asked to assist with assembly in other departments.
