Element Materials Technology is Hiring a Divisional Quality Manager II Near Home, KS
OverviewElement has a current opening for a Divisional Quality Manager II to join our growing team. The Quality Manager II will be responsible for driving standardization and best practices in Quality Systems and processes across Element Life Sciences laboratories. Quality Manager II will administer business unit-wide boards such as CAPA Review Board, Audit/Inspection Response Review Board, and Supplier Review board. This position also includes mentoring and training the quality management and operational teams as well as directly managing multiple Quality Managers. This role will also work closely with the Quality Director, Division Directors, and Quality and Operations teams to assess the robustness of the quality system and ensure changes are implemented at their respective sites

Responsibilities
- Develop and ensure compliance with Element Quality system and processes
- Provide Quality support and applicable GxP expertise to operational and divisional management and location quality management.
- Support the Quality Director, Life Sciences in Quality planning and execution strategy to drive standardization of quality techniques, technologies, technical processes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and accreditation bodies. Ensure proactive management of all relevant customer relationships working with the Quality Director, Life Sciences, the commercial team, and peers.
- Support the Quality and regulatory training and development of colleagues.
- Work with the Quality Director, Life Sciences to establish an effective Quality community to share quality best practice across the business unit
- Remain knowledgeable on the quality and regulatory landscape and communicate to the rest of the business unit
- Establish, demonstrate and promote a continuous improvement mind set within the business unit quality community
- Participate and advise on adjustments to quality procedures and processes, as necessary
- Provide leadership and representation of Element to third party organizations, clients, accreditation bodies/committees, suppliers/vendors
- Travel within North America (approximately 30% dependent on location)
- Maintain high level of ethics in day to day operations and decisions.
- Create and implement business unit level boards for quality related programs such as CAPA and client audit responses
- Support in audit/inspection preparation
- Support in post-audit/inspection responses
- Support in post-audit/inspection activity implementation
- Create business unit level policies/procedures and advise on their continuing suitability based on industry experience and customer expectations
- Provide guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems, quality, risk management or process-related business improvement aspects
- Effectively review procedures to prepare sites for site audit/inspection readiness for all customers, regulatory agencies, and Quality System accreditation (e.g. ISO IEC 17025) with detailed pre-audit reports as required by internal QMS and other assessment bodies.
- Conduct internal audit as required by QMS
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS in Engineering or Lifesciences (ie., Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology)
- 10 years Quality experience in GxP and/or ISO IEC 17025
- Broad knowledge of GxP regulations
- knowledge of CFR 820, 210, 211, 58, 11, 160
- Success in writing project plans and driving them to conclusion
- Proficiency in standard office software and computer systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects under changing priorities
- Team-oriented leader and coach
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to all audiences, adopting messaging to fit the education level of the audience.
