Element Materials Technology is Hiring an Instrumentation Technician Near Huntsville, AL

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Instrumentation Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global TIC business.

Responsibilities

  • Performs calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, test measurement and diagnostic equipment to support the testing requirement of the lab
  • Troubleshooting - performing necessary steps to fix faulty test equipment. Troubleshoot wiring and computer problems
  • Data Collection - Capture necessary information of the maintenance of test equipment. such as pressure transducers, strain gauges and flow meters
  • Prepare calibration and data reports
  • Instrumentation: equipment software used in the control and automation of test setups
  • Power, connection, communication requirements of data acquisition

Skills / Qualifications

  • Comprehensive mechanical experience
  • Interactions with clients 
  • Able to completely intermediate technical and mechanical procedures
  • MS Office and Data Acquisition Hardware skills
  • Able to use all standard and complex instrumentation; temperature probes, thermocouples, pressure transducers and accelerometers
  • Daisy Lab software experience 
  • NI hardware/software 
  • HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred
