FRAC Operator 3 (OP3)

Summary

FRAC Operator 3 (OP3) will have a thorough knowledge of chemical additive unit rig-in/rig-out processes, and be able to troubleshoot chemical delivery issues on the go. Responsible for ensuring chemical valving is correct prior to rolling any pump over. Responsible for safely working in the chemical zone. Recognizes the importance of preventive maintenance and plans accordingly. Other duties as required.

Job Duties

• Assist with chemical additive unit rig-in/rig-out, making sure chemical hoses are rigged up safely and in compliance with SOP
• Observes best practices in the chemical zone, using safe work practices and correct PPE.
• Ensure chemical contamination never happens through organized rig up practices and checking, re-checking, and triple checking valving and lines before transferring chemicals.
• Assists chem-add operator in ensuring pumps are never rolled against a closed system.
• Troubleshoot issues on the fly that may impact job quality.
• Ensure preventive maintenance requirements are met

Requirements

• Proven ability to perform all job tasks of lower job classifications
• Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat
• Satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• High level of personal integrity
• Strong work ethic
• Mature demeanor under stressful situations
• Able to work with little supervision
• Able to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Work Conditions

• Rotation schedules vary 14/7
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
• Travel to off-site locations required

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
