FRAC Operator 4 (OP4)
Reports To
FRAC Supervisor
Summary
FRAC Operator 4 (OP4) will have a complete understanding of operating procedures, a thorough knowledge of rig-in/rig-out processes, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the go. Is de facto supervisor on the front side. Responsible for all high pressure valving, pump health (fluid end, power end, and engine), and red zone safety. Recognizes the importance of preventive maintenance and plans accordingly. Other duties as required.
Job Duties
- Direct rig-in/rig-out, making sure iron is rigged up safely and in compliance with SOP
- Operate crane
- Manage high pressure side of location, including managing third parties and company reps to ensure the safety of all personnel and the integrity of Element assets
- Mentor OP1s. Teach SSEs with patience and understanding.
- Troubleshoot issues on the fly that may impact job quality.
- Ensure preventive maintenance requirements are met
Requirements
- Proven ability to perform all job tasks of lower job classifications
- Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat
- Satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- High level of personal integrity
- Strong work ethic
- Mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Able to work with little supervision
- Able to work effectively in a diverse working environment

- PEC/Safeland
- H2S
- First Aid/CPR
- Fall Protection
- Hours of Service & Fatigue Management
- Radiation Awareness
- HazMat/HazCom
- Forklift Operation
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- Fire and Explosion Hazard Training
- OSHA approved crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent)
- GHS
- Various company specific orientations
Work Conditions
- Rotation schedules vary 14/7
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Travel to off-site locations required
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. coveralls, steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
