Elentic is Hiring an Information Technology Manager - Cloud Data Near St Louis, MO

Join an innovative and energetic St. Louis Missouri company leading and setting the strategic direction of the Cloud Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate for this management position will possess strong leadership and team management skills, demonstrated by their ability to lead multiple teams and multiple tier 1 projects within a large enterprise IT setting, oversee team development, and create and execute strategic plans effectively. They must have technical expertise in cloud data engineering, particularly with the Azure Cloud ecosystem, including proficiency with APIs, Power BI, reporting applications, building data assets, ETL processes, and familiarity with advanced machine learning and AI methods. Additionally, excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, enabling them to maintain relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and corporate executives, engage diverse technical and business audiences, and collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders.

Hybrid work setting - remote and on-site as needed in St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic direction for the Cloud Data Engineering team related to staffing, products, support, and services.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT Leaders to drive out priorities for global data initiatives across multiple functional areas of the business spanning multiple programs and projects
  • Manage teams performing analysis, design, development, testing, and support of data acquisition, integration, and serving applications to deliver high quality data assets and services.
  • Provide strategic communications and updates on Data Engineering initiatives to a broad business and IT audience.
  • Gain executive support across multiple disciplines to ensure Data Engineering solutions satisfy a broad spectrum of company needs.
  • Build, develop, and extend relationships across IT, to ensure the Data Engineering solutions align with the overall IT strategy and can be leveraged by other IT teams for maximum value
  • Work with the Cloud Enablement Team to negotiate vendor agreements for technology platforms and services agreements as required
  • Mentor and develop members of the Cloud Data Engineering Team to shape a world class Data Engineering organization

Experience Required:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, showcasing a deep understanding and expertise in the field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success in leading and managing multiple teams within a large enterprise IT organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Exhibit excellent analytical skills, evidenced by past success in creating and executing transformational strategies that drive business growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large application development teams, specifically with experience in handling high transaction workloads for mission-critical applications.
  • Well-versed in data engineering concepts and trends, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with industry developments.
  • Show a strong propensity for leadership, with a focus on achieving results and displaying a high level of self-motivation.
  • Possess excellent relationship-building skills, particularly within the executive landscape, enabling effective collaboration and influence.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging and addressing a broad range of technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to envision and conceptualize new technologies and innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, working effectively with others to generate and develop new ideas.
  • Quickly understand and take charge of a wide variety of initiatives, including project scope definition, requirements gathering, and change management to meet dynamic business and IT objectives.
  • Comfortable and experienced in presenting complex information and strategies at the executive level, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Possess strong mentoring and development skills, dedicated to ensuring the success of IT professionals and enabling their career growth within the team.
  • Proficient in project management concepts, covering the entire project lifecycle from planning and inception through to implementation and support.
