Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

Responsible for selling Individual, Senior and Small group products and providing high level customer service. These contract positions will only be selling individual/ family plans, not Medicare or Small Group plans.


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures sales goals are met.
  • Sells company products in a professional and consultative manner.
  • Provides thorough and effective customer service.
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to all customers.
  • Provides customers with oral and written information as well as a detailed quote on the company plans and services.
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Studies competitive products and related industry issues and maintains a personal awareness of competitive advantages and disadvantages.
  • Optimizes closing opportunities utilizing all sales tools and skills available.
  • Completes accurate documentation, maintains records and updates database documentation of all activities during the sales cycle.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of leads and sales received from all sources.
  • Maintains record keeping system and ensures all business is tracked throughout the underwriting process.


Requirements
:

  • Requires a high school diploma; 2 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must maintain Life and Disability Agent license.
  • Must maintain appropriate license required by the Department of Insurance to sell Medical,
  • Dental and Life products in all states served by the Company's Direct Sales.
  • Outlook, Salesforce, call center experience of at least 1 year,
  • Insurance sales background.
  • Must have an active health and life license (not a temporary license) in resident state.

Additional Details:

  • Targeting candidates in Florida and Texas, but open to candidate near other Elevance Health pulsepoints.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • We are looking to fill at total of 20 positions.
  • These roles are 100% remote
  • Training hours: 930AM - 600PM EST or 10AM - 630PM EST M-F during the ~6 or weeks.
  • After training, schedules could range from anywhere as early as 8AM EST - 10PM EST.
  • Selected candidates will only work an 8 hr shift within the given time frame above, but we need the ability to cover those hours of operation.
