Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
• Drive month-end and year-end closing procedures with financial expertise
• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support the strategic decision-making process
• Evaluate cost structures, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to enhance financial efficiency
• Engage with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to support the growth and success of the residential HVAC company
• Identify and advocate for refinements in accounting systems and procedures
• Shape the company culture by embodying shared values, emphasizing ethics and integrity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller, Chief Financial Officer, or Senior Accountant
• Ability to inspire confidence and serve as a trusted right-hand to the owner of the company.
• GAAP Expertise: In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excel Mastery: Advanced MS Excel skills
• Hands-on experience with software like Sage Intacct and/or QuickBooks
• Strong quantitative and qualitative financial analysis skills
• Desire to take on greater responsibilities and contribute to company growth
