Position Overview
This position exists to support the Warehouse Manager in leading a multi-shift distribution team, involving continuous coordination of distribution-related activities, workforce planning, employee relations and effective communication to meet organizational objectives.
The Distribution Supervisor must be willing / able to work rotating shifts as demanded by workload.
Responsibilities

- Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager plan, direct and coordinate specialist work assignments.
- Train new hires on incoming packing processes and is fluent in process.
- Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and aid packers with any missing product or errors that occur during packing process.
- Help sort and prioritize pick tickets, identifying which are LTL and which are not.
- Follow all customer prescribed routing requirements.
- Assists employees in all aspects of job knowledge and safety.
- Troubleshoot machine (printers, scanners etc.) areas.
- Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
- Recommend and coordinate changes based on process analysis.
- Assists with 6S and Safety initiatives and activities.
- May be required to train employees in current or similar roles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in similar role or four years’ experience as a lead with progressive responsibilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems.
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machine errors and malfunctions.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills emphasizing process improvement.
- Experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using IFS, or NetSuite.
- Winter sports enthusiast.
