Position Overview: Early Childhood Educator

We invite you to join our exceptional team of dedicated educators in a supportive, child-centered learning environment. As an Early Childhood Educator at Temple Sinai Preschool, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and enriching space for young learners. Using an emergent curriculum based on constructivist theory, you will advance physical and intellectual competence while supporting social and emotional development. Positive guidance, building productive relationships with families, and a commitment to professionalism are essential aspects of this role. You do not need to be Jewish to be a Jewish educator; we support Jewish learning and continuous development for all of our educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a Safe and Healthy Learning Environment: Ensure the well-being and safety of all children in your care.
• Advance Physical and Intellectual Competence: Implement an emergent curriculum that fosters exploration and growth.
• Support Social and Emotional Development: Provide positive guidance and support for children's emotional and social needs.
• Build Positive Relationships with Families: Foster strong connections with families to support their child's educational journey.
• Manage a Purposeful Program: Ensure the program is responsive to the developmental needs of young children.
• Maintain Professionalism: Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• ECT qualified in the state of Colorado (PDIS credential 3.0 2-6)
• Previous teaching experience in a licensed early childhood center preferred
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of young children
• Familiarity with state licensing and health department rules and regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and actively engage with young children
• CPR Certification (preferred)

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Pay: $20.50 - $24.00 per hour (based on salary scale)
• Expected Hours: 30 – 39 per week
