We are seeking a Site Construction Project Manager with a solid professional background in construction, land development and project management to lead our dedicated team. Qualifications:
· The successful candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or a similar discipline, supported by at least 8-10 years of experience in the field.
· They should possess an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of pre-development process including entitlements, construction, and land development, including cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering techniques.
· Proficiency in computer applications is crucial, including industry-specific scheduling and construction software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is evidence of adherence to the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
· The role demands a results-driven professional who is proactive, safety-conscious, people-oriented, and highly customer-focused.
· Demonstrated ability in sound decision-making, effective problem-solving, and the ability to handle competing priorities is a must.
· The candidate should be comfortable working within areas of ambiguity and making financially sound compromises.
Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, the Site Construction Project Manager will steer project teams towards exceptional performance, ensuring client expectations and budgetary guidelines are met or even surpassed.
This will involve supervising various aspects such as contract administration, change orders, submittals, and procurement while ensuring projects are executed profitably and efficiently.
A strong emphasis on customer needs is essential, including building relationships with current clients and actively engaging new potential customers. The Project Manager will also scrutinize and analyze bids, ensuring they meet budget and schedule requirements. Among other responsibilities, they will:
· Provide resources for competitive trade participation and identify general contract requirements.
· Understand the pre-development process which may require project entitlements and due diligence.
· Establish detailed project schedules.
· Handle project financials, ensuring healthy cash flow and fiscal responsibility.
· The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding the budget.
· Collaborate with engineers, architects etc to determine the specifications of the project.
· Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
The Project Manager will hold regular meetings, establishing a structured communication flow within the project team and with subcontractors, ensuring professional relationships are maintained. They will act as the cornerstone in building a trusting relationship with the project owner, keeping them informed and satisfied throughout the project duration. Quality control is paramount, and the incumbent will monitor work for deficiencies, setting high-quality standards for the team. They will also be responsible for nurturing a synergistic team environment, organizing team events, resolving conflicts, and contributing to the career development of team members.
