Your Role:
The Membership & Programming Coordinator will oversee all membership related administrative tasks and programming of the center. From the membership perspective, this position is responsible for member satisfaction as it relates to the entire member experience, focusing on recruitment, retention, and a quality member experience. From a programming perspective, this position will provide leadership and oversight of the annual program calendar ensuring that robust services and offerings are implemented to meet the client and site goals. Responsible for participating in and assisting with all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Center. Interacts with members and staff to deliver a safe and welcoming environment for all. Provides safe, motivating, and effective individual and group exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate others in person and virtually. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality training, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Anticipate member needs and provide proactive service during peak and non-peak times
- Engage with members on a one-on-one basis, providing education, support and ensuring their safety
- Provide prompt response to medical emergencies and complete required documentation with proficiency
- Ensure proper and accurate membership processing procedures are followed
- Listen, cooperate, and be respectful towards all team members, members, and client(s)
- Positively contribute to a welcoming, friendly and team environment where respect is demonstrated, contributions are recognized, and process improvement is encouraged
- Be readily available to answer questions, assist members and support fellow team members
- Demonstrate proactive communication to keep General Manager informed of important program and client developments
MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Oversee front desk staff
- Help with statistical analysis within fitness management software for program performance monthly
- Maintain personal training budget and report to GM monthly
- Monitor and track overall program
- Creates opportunities to recruit new clients, works off goals, and meet performance goals
- Updating various marketing tools regularly including but not limited to website, social media, flyers, etc.
- Plan, implement, and ensure quality control for all aspects of the personal training program. This includes but is not limited to; developing personal training guidelines, protocol, etc., including evaluating personal trainers. Responsible for finding qualified trainers to conduct fitness assessments and personal training sessions
- Ensure exercise safety of each member, proactively correct improper form and execution, observe general safety for prompt response to medical emergencies.
- Conduct individual and group personal training sessions
PROGRAMMING
- Work with the General Manager, and other team members, to develop, coordinate, and communicate the annual/quarterly program calendar
- Lead the internal training of team members needing assistance and/or those interested in expanding their program planning skill set
- Hold all team members accountable for supporting the annual program calendar and provide ongoing recommendations for program improvement and/or enhancement
- Ensure program plans are completed and on file, and programs are properly promoted, implemented, and evaluated
- Prepare programming content for site stats/utilization report and actively contribute to survey analysis and standard reports including monthly, bi-annual and annual reports, etc.
- Identify opportunities to network with client specific resources (such as HR, benefits, food service, onsite health clinic) to enhance overall site marketing and promotional reach
OTHER
- Provide individualized, safe, and effective exercise programs and comprehensive member services for all fitness levels
- Instruct safe and effective group exercise classes ensure class quantity is met based on contract requirements
- Proactively assist with the inspection of the facility daily and report any cleaning, facility, or equipment issues to appropriate personnel
- Proactively define areas for self-development and identify the tools and resources needed to address those areas. Work with supervisor to determine the best resources available while meeting all the Elevation Health standards of your current position
- Meet and support objectives, goals and initiatives of the specific Elevation team
- Contribute new ideas, seek internal and external resources to support the goals of the teams
- Adheres to timelines, produces quality work, show initiative by taking on team responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings
- Seek out internal/external resources and explore opportunities for professional growth
- Review company communications and complete action items by established due dates
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Certifications:
- Bachelors in Exercise Science or other related field
- CPR and AED required
- Personal training certificate (NSCA, ACSM, NASM or ACE) required
- Group exercise experience and certificate preferred
- Nutrition coaching certification preferred
- Maintain all certifications throughout duration of employment
- Experience:
- Previous experience in personal training and teaching group exercise preferred
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft and Google Suite
