Summary

Our client seeks an AVP, Technical Project Manager in IT Strategy & Programs a pivotal role dedicated to overseeing a diverse array of IT initiatives and projects throughout the organization. In this position, you will collaborate closely with senior management, business stakeholders, and technical teams to meticulously define and manage project objectives, scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risks. Effective communication with all project participants and transparent reporting on project statuses, challenges, and results are key responsibilities. This role not only represents the technology of Our Client but also embodies the ethos of the IT Strategy & Programs team as it continues to evolve and bolster our brand.

Responsibilities

• Lead Projects: Spearhead complex projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with original scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Roadmap Management: Create and maintain a project roadmap, highlighting key milestones, timelines, and potential risks.
• Stakeholder Communication: Keep project stakeholders, sponsors, vendors, and team members well-informed through regular updates; escalate issues promptly.
• Project Coordination: Organize and lead project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
• Best Practices Implementation: Utilize established project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure consistent success.
• Resource Management: Oversee project staff, including their allocation, performance, and development.
• Governance Compliance: Adhere to organizational policies and governance standards.
• Performance Analysis: Review project outcomes, derive lessons learned, and recommend improvements.
• Tool Utilization: Employ tools such as Jira and Confluence for managing documentation and project deliverables.
• Collaboration and Partnership: Foster strong relationships with both business and technology teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience: Preferably with a background in financial services and at least 5 years in IT project management, supplemented by skills in process improvement, technical business analysis, or product management.
• Professional Skills: Exhibits high professionalism, integrity, and accountability with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Communication: Exceptional listening and communication abilities, adept at adjusting messages to suit different audiences.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required.
• Certification: Project Management certification or equivalent training preferred.

Salary Range

$130,000 - $155,000 per annum
