Our client, a nationwide leader in plastics manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in Mansfield.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant and facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and general repair of machinery
• Basic electrical, wiring and motor repair when applicable
• Ordering and installing of machine parts
• Repair and install safety guards on equipment
• General maintenance duties in the facilities and on the grounds
• Maintain tools in good and safe conditions
• Completes and reports status of maintenance projects
• Follow all safety procedures and SQF regulations
• Keep a clean working area and floors picked up and swept
• Provide training and direction to others
• Other department duties as assigned
• SQF/ISO requirements compliance

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent combined with Trade School
• 2 years of maintenance and repair experience
• Advanced technical skills in boiler, compressed air, mechanical and electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.)
• Overall mechanical knowledge of machinery and how to repair
• Overall knowledge of electrical installation
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to lift and/or move between 0 to 150 lbs. with equipment
• Good mathematical skills
• Basic computer skills
