Eliot Community Human Services is Hiring a CBHC Director of MCI Near Lynn, MA

Join our team as Director of MCI and be a part of Eliot's exciting and cutting edge Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) programs! At Eliot we are dedicated to restoring dignity and hope to the lives of the people we serve by ensuring access to evidence-based treatments, trauma-informed services and relevant resources! Our CBHC services include team based care, rapid response and flexible services that will enable us to serve as an entry point for timely, person-centered, mental health and addiction treatment on an urgent and ongoing basis for adults, children and families.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, with corresponding independent licensure and four years of clinical experience.
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory role in a clinical setting required.
  • Expertise providing behavioral health and crisis services to individuals, children and families with solid understanding of the mental health system and services available in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Understanding & experience with the wraparound model and systems of care approach is preferred. Knowledge of the vast array of community resources and how to access them.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the daily operations, service delivery, and administrative/clinicals functions of MCI services for all clients and families.
  • Develop and maintain a team that is able to respond to the needs of a families and individuals during a psychiatric crisis, while ensuring that the treatment is strengths-based, individualized, child-centered, family-focused, community based, multi-systemic, and culturally competent. Develop, implement, and manage utilization of MCI services.
  • Train, assist and monitor staff of Director of Triage, Master’s Level clinicians, Bachelor’s Level clinicians & Family Partners ensuring proficiency in the wraparound service model.
  • Train, assist and monitor all staff in crisis assessment, development of safety plans and continually assure such plans / assessments emphasize family/individual skill building, utilizing natural supports, and collaboration with established treatment providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other providers of individual, youth, and family services in the community to strengthen referral stream both inside / outside of Eliot.
  • Develop systems to monitor utilization and billing to match services with revenue streams.
  • Provide leadership, support and clinical guidance to staff supervised in accordance with CBHC policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction and motivation to support targeted treatment interventions and therapies through the delivery of short-term stabilization treatment plans.
  • Monitor/supervise issues related to acuity and work with individuals and staff members to ensure that acuity is responded to in a timely manner.
  • Rotate clinical back up on call supervisor to staff providing direct on call supports to individuals. Provide clinical support to individuals as needed to avoid emergency rooms.
  • Develop and monitor CBHC performance standards including response time, staffing patterns and programmatic goals, service utilization, hospital diversion rates.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Location: Lynn, MA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, full time, 40 hours per week
