Join our team as the Safety Director, focusing on material handling installations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all projects are executed safely and comply with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
Create and enforce safety policies for material handling projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Lead safety training sessions for staff, focusing on safe practices, equipment use, and emergency protocols.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in material handling installations.
- Work with project leaders to integrate safety measures into all stages of the project.
- Investigate and document safety incidents, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
- Oversee and support a team of safety managers and technicians.
- Encourage a proactive safety mindset and continuous improvement among all team members.
- Keep abreast of safety regulations and ensure company adherence.
- Maintain detailed records of safety activities and prepare performance reports for management.
- Must be willing to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Safety certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CSHO) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management (preferred exp in material handling)
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
