Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maternal and infant care, providing exceptional support to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.

Position: OB Registered Nurse
Location: Gundersen Palmer, West Union, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 36 hours/week, 12-hour day shifts
Unit: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (Med/Surg: 20 beds, OB: 4 LDRP rooms, 1 postpartum/c-section prep)
Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 early labor/postpartum, Med/Surg: 1:3-4
Average Daily Census: Med/Surg: 8-10, OB: 85-90 deliveries/year
Requirements:

• Licensure: WI RN
• Certifications: NRP, AHA BLS
• Experience: 2 years in OB, Critical Access Hospital, and MedSurg
• Charting: Epic preferred

Additional Info: No on-call/callback required, every other weekend and holiday rotation. Will float to like units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in labor and delivery settings, ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby.
- Perform catheterizations, IV insertions, and other nursing procedures as required.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient information management.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care and support to patients.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in labor and delivery nursing.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $2,353.00 - $2,800.00 per week
