We’re a creative foodservice design/build studio focusing on hospitality venues, corporate cafes and dining rooms, coffee bars, commercial kitchens and similar dining experiences.
elite|studio e (a NY-based company) is a hiring a full-time Construction Project Manager located in Farmingdale, NY. This individual must be detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working with the entire project team from clients to trades to our internal colleagues. The ideal candidate will harbor a passion for design and construction and must be flexible to travel.
Reporting To: President & COO
Duties:
The applicant will be responsible for working with the elite|studio e team, clients, project stakeholders, contractors and vendors throughout the pre-construction and construction phases of kitchen, dining and hospitality spaces. Key tasks include field measuring at the project onset; reviewing design drawings for constructability; being an onsite supervisor and project liaison during construction; coordinating the punch list and being onsite for opening day trainings. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. Administrative proficiency is vital to the role. In addition, the Construction Project Manager may need to serve as a local liaison for projects — meeting with clients during the sales and design process and sharing it with the elite|studio e team if a situation warrants it.
This Construction Project Manager must be willing to supervise build projects across the United States. Travel is frequent, but the duration on each job site varies. This may include extended hotel stays, flights, nights and/or weekends in additional to normal construction hours.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of Bluebeam is a bonus
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Proven experience as a construction project manager
- Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards
- OSHA Certification preferred. If not OSHA 40 certification is required and provided by Elite.
- Foodservice industry experience is a definite plus
- National frequent travel
- Daily logs and communication
