Summary/Objective

Information gathering and communication in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Driver communication via calls and text. Customer communication via phone, text, and email.
Communication through on-time detailed reports to customers and other team members. Through accurate and timely communication, we build successful relationships.

Essential Functions

• Communication - Assist in communicating with carriers, customers, dispatching drivers, and covering shipments.
• Efficient data entry - record departure, arrival times, shipment details per stop on customer provided spreadsheets and internal database. Data entry of customer bills of lading using google docs.
• Assist dock staff with checking in LTL freight, print, stuff and attach BOL’s to freight and possession scan all incoming freight. Ability to multitask in a fast- paced environment
• Maintain master route book, driver forms, keep routing sheets updated and create route books for new hires.
• Troubleshooting – Assist drivers will scanning issues. Communicate, report, and follow up with IT and drivers on scanners. Scan mis sorts as they return to warehouse from route.
• Research scanning issues and unscanned freight pieces using tools provided.
• Provide verbal reports via “Teams” meetings as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.

Dress Code

Employees are required to be well groomed and dress in appropriate casual attire. Safety vests, shirts, or jackets to be worn while in the warehouse.

Physical Demands

Sedentary role, sitting at workstation while carrying out a variety of both manual and computerized data entry and processing. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching/crawling.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Position Type and Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt position with three open shifts. Monday through Friday 3rd shift:
11:30pm – 8:30am; 2nd Shift 3pm – Midnight; 1st Shift 8am – 5pm.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma.
• Previous work experience in transportation freight hauling industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Knowledge of transportation industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
