Primary Purpose Of Organizational UnitThe Office of Sponsored Programs mission is to provide comprehensive support to members of the ECSU research community engaged in the preparation and submission of proposals and the management of funded projects.
Description Of WorkThe primary goal of this position is to support Elizabeth City State University’s ( ECSU ) research mission and provide substantive professional advice on the development of project proposals and pre-award administrative tasks. This position will require an understanding of proposal budgets, along with policy and procedures.
Competencies/Knowledge Skills, And Abilities Required In This PositionWork Independently with faculty and staff across campus in an advisory role; experience in research administration and grant development.
Knowledge of Federal, State and University grant programs that support research, instruction and public service.
Minimum Training And ExperienceRequires a Bachelor’s Degree and/or the equivalent, plus two years of experience related to the area of assignment; equivalent combination of training and experience. All Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
