**This Role**

The Sales Associate role within the Insurance Solutions Group focuses on curating strategic relationships with institutional investors whose investment goals align with Ellingtons unique areas of expertise. This effort requires creative and thoughtful data analysis to determine potential investor alignment, prioritization and project management orientation. Beyond all else, a client driven centricity and acumen is vital to thriving in this position and on this team.

Beyond these core considerations, this role calls upon an individual skilled in developing compelling, data driven cases for potential investor consideration with a commerciality that aligns to the Ellington brand. Over time, the individual in this role will develop a balanced approach between marketing, educating and supporting Ellington investor prospects, and will evolve into increasing client facing advisory responsibilities.

**Finding the Right Fit**

While there are a wide array of unique backgrounds that may be a good fit, the following abilities and experience would be helpful in the role:

* Exposure and experience working in the investment management space, specifically with exposure to the full range of credit and fixed income strategies

* Acumen managing data and creating analytical insights for presentations

* Experience supporting sales and/or marketing oriented initiatives

* Sales experience with exposure to goals and goal attainment

* Intellectual curiosity, well read and well informed on global macro dynamics

* Experience investing across the capital spectrum, if even as an extracurricular- has opinions in this regard

* Attention to detail, ability to think critically and analytically (often skeptically), strong work ethic, thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment with shifting goals and opportunities

* Excellent interpersonal skills and effective teamwork skills

* Excellent awareness of interdepartmental relationships

* Strong project management, organizing, planning, and presentation skills

* Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated history of creative problem solving

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment without compromising accuracy and quality of output

* Strong sense of accountability

* Openness to new ideas and approaches- acquiring new skills- always coachable and resilient

* Superior written and verbal communication skills

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Salesforce CRM

* License Series 3 not a prerequisite, but required within 90 days of commencing the new role

* CFA or progress towards certification (CFA Level 1, etc.) is a plus. CFA Charter is expected within year one
