Overview & Responsibilities Purpose of the job: The Visualization Engineer will be responsible for developing efficient reporting and analytics across the enterprise. In this role, the Visualization Engineer will be gathering requirements, work very closely with the business, create mockups, train, and build reports and dashboards, including predictive and prescriptive analytics. Design scalable, easy to use and intuitive dashboards. Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics. Experience: Minimum 5 years hands on experience with some experience in creating reports and Dashboards. Technical Skills: Well versed in one or more visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI. Experience with SQL queries a must, along with understanding and designing database models. Business Skills: Be able to understand business problems and envision a solution that addresses the business problems with the help of data. Define algorithms with the business owners for deriving analytics. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Job Responsibilities: Understand and gather business requirements. Provide mockups for dashboards. Generate intuitive reports and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI for all departments including Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance etc. across all global locations. Define and collaborate with end-users on algorithms needed for predictive and prescriptive analytics. Provide training on usage of the analytics produced. Identify data issues and articulate solutions to fix the data. Work closely with the business and data analysts to understand the problems and solve them with the help of data. Write complex queries and design models required for analytics. Document requirements, propose solutions and collaborate with business users to finalize the design. Empower users with self service capabilities and train super users. Administer and govern the software licenses and troubleshoot issues. Work with business to test the data and analyze discrepancies. Should be able to quickly adopt to changes across the organization.
