Responsibilities

• Continued development of CBP systems using Agile methodologies

• Deployment of selected features and business capabilities prioritized by CBP operational and support offices (e.g. Office of Field Operations, Office of Border Patrol, Office of Air and Marine Operations, Enterprise Services, Operations Support) within agreed upon schedule timeframes

• Providing the enhancement, development, deployment sustainment of applications supporting IT modernization and using emerging technologies (existing or newly developed).

• Cross functional support for integration of cognitive services (e.g. translation, chat bots, etc.) into existing and new apps, use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, data analytics

• Integration of devices through Internet of Things (IoT) gateway

• Integration of biometrics into new and existing applications, blockchain, and other client capabilities as needed and through Agile Teams.

Skill set:

• Full stack senior development, agile, support of backend and front-end development and implementation.
• Java, Spring Frameworks, Angular, JavaScript, REST API, SOAP Web Service, AWS, Microservices, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Jira
• US Citizenship required with ability to obtain a CBP Clearance (Current active clearance preferred)
• Full stack senior development, agile, support of backend and front-end development and implementation.
• Java, Spring Frameworks, Angular, JavaScript, REST API, SOAP Web Service, AWS, Microservices, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Jira
• Experience with mobile application development (Flutter, React Native)
• AI/ML experience preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Ability to craft solutions to complex problems.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and demonstrations
• Ability to work independently or with team.
• Experience with Research and Development.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related technical field
• 5 years' experience in an Agile Software Development role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to share insights with team members and stakeholders.
