Elmcrest Children's Center is Hiring a Daycare Program Administrator Near Syracuse, NY
The Daycare Program Administrator at the Northside Early Education Center functions as an OCFS Daycare Director and is responsible for the oversight and management of the Center. This person is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Center, supervision of staff, and managing the flow of information and paperwork. The Daycare Program Administrator is a critical position that interfaces with children, families and the general public, as well as Elmcrest Agency Departments. This position also collaborates with the leadership of Elmcrest’s other early education programs. Responsibilities
Support developmentally appropriate early education programming in coordination with staff to ensure compliance with program curriculum, regulatory requirements and agency policy.
Provide oversight of the centers day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, and effective learning environment.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, other agencies, and the public and maintain positive communication with families and staff.
Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Coordinate outreach efforts for recruitment and community outreach
Coordinate intake for children and facilitate enrollment and related processes for all programs.
Coach team members regarding developmentally appropriate programming and interactions with children. Support staff in the maintaining of professional standards and best practices
Plan and implement staff development activities to support ongoing professional development and to enhance quality at the center.
Monitor and maintain records of staff development activities to meet OCFS training requirements.
Oversee staff time cards and manage PTO requests.
Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and coverage at all times.
Work with the finance department and families to process daycare fees and tuition payments.
Additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in early education;
New York State teaching certification in Early Childhood Education/Special Education/Students With Disabilities (Birth-2) preferred;
Teaching experience with young children required;
Supervisory experience required;
Strong knowledge of child development required;
Must have
