Weekend Respite Supervisor to manage our respite program. Respite is a supplemental service that provides families and other caregivers temporary time of relief. This type of respite affords families the ability to take care of those needs that somehow get pushed to the side.

The individuals enjoy in-house (games, arts and crafts, baking, etc.) as well as community activities (movies, bowling, museums, zoos, amusement parks, etc.) The program staff prepares meals according to each individual’s dietary needs and may administer prescribed medications (AMAP certified only staff member). The goal of the program is to provide individuals with fun time. Elmy’s Weekend Respite is offered outside the home from Friday to Sunday. It is available on a scheduled and time-limited basis.

Supervisor for this program must be vaccinated, as this program is a recreational program, outside in the community all weekend. Must be creative.

Must have a valid NY driver's license

Supervisor schedule is as follows:

Monday 9am to 3pm

Tuesday 9am to 3pm

Wednesday 9am to 3pm

Friday 2pm to 11pm

Saturday 7am to 7pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support weekend programming
• Maintain safety throughout facility and programming.
• Interact positively and proactively with individuals and their families.
• Contribute to the development of weekend programming.
• Greet, offer tours and program information to weekend attendees.
• Reinforce the values and commitment of ESS and ensure that programming locations are safe and welcoming to those who enter.
• Create and maintain a schedule with the Director of Services.
• Complete and document procedure.
• Complete request for check forms for consumer stipend and for activity.
• Submit reports/information for billing
• Perform other duties as required.

Education:

• Associate (Required)

Experience:

• Creativity: 3 years (Preferred)
• Recreational therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
• OPWDD: 1 year (Preferred)
• Supervising: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• NY Drivers License (Required)
• COVID Vaccine (Required)
