Project Manager - Restaurant Dining and Quick Service Food

Position Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing restaurant construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a dynamic leader who can collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Promote an environment of Respect, Commitment, Teamwork, Integrity, Reliability, and Professionalism.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and owners to determine project specifications.
• Project Oversight: Organize and oversee construction procedures, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure profitable agreements.
• Permits and Licenses: Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
• Resource Management: Determine and manage resources (manpower, equipment, materials) within budgetary constraints.
• Scheduling: Coordinate with on-site Superintendents to plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
• Subcontractor Management: Secure subcontractors for specific trade needs.
• Progress Evaluation: Evaluate project progress and implement changes to achieve planned goals.
• Project Closeout: Lead the overall project closeout process, ensuring all deliverables are met.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial retail construction project management, specifically related to restaurant construction.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material management, and project management principles.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction/project management software, including Sage 100 and Procore.
• Communication: Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong leadership abilities.
• Education: BS/BA in engineering, building science, or construction is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding and appreciation of construction safety processes and the ability to enforce the project safety plan.
