Elsdon Supply Chain is Hiring an Account Manager Near Tennessee, IL

We're searching for an ambitious and results-oriented Account Manager to join our dynamic Road Freight team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for hunting new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and fostering strong relationships within the Road Freight sector. You'll work closely with our international department to leverage our global network and expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic new business development plan focused on the Road Freight market.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and qualify potential clients.
  • Proactively prospect for new leads, attend industry events, and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Craft compelling proposals that highlight the value proposition of our Road Freight services and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure new business accounts, exceeding assigned sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the international department to develop customized solutions that utilize our global network and expertise.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and continued business.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth onboarding and seamless execution for new clients.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the Road Freight market, its complexities, and key players.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software is a plus.
  • Fluency in a second language (especially relevant languages for your target market) is a strong asset.
