ELWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOL is Hiring a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Near Greenlawn, NY
Location: Building and Grounds
Hours: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Effective: October 2024
Location: Buildings & Grounds, District Wide
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Effective: October 2024
Description: This position will include a variety of grounds and maintenance work including but not limited to cutting grass and weeding using hand tools and lawn mowers, applying field paint on athletic fields, performing custodial tasks and removing snow during winter months as well as monitoring working condition of grounds equipment and providing routine maintenance of such equipment.
Requirements: Valid NYS Driver’s License, Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
Compensation: In accordance with the contract between the District and Local 237, I.B.T. (International Brotherhood of Teamsters).
