EMC Precision is Hiring a CNC Horizontal Machinist - 2nd Shift Near Elyria, OH

DescriptionJoin Our Team! EMC Precision is looking for an experienced Team Member to ensure our operations run without a hitch. If you’re ready for the best job at the best place you’ve ever worked, read on!EMC Precision has provided complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities expertly machined since 1925. This HMC Operator will be responsible for the CNC manufacturing of precision components using Makino and DMG Mori Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC).Primary Job Duties
  • Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Uses various types of measuring instruments.
  • Replace tooling and adjusts tools to meet blueprint specifications.
  • Set-up experience is a plus.
  • Performs first piece inspection when setup is completed.
  • Recommends process improvements with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Fluent in Shop Math.
  • Minimum of one year of shop experience.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.
  • Responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
  • Solid work history.
  • Must be able to frequently: push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, see general and close up, hear, speak, use motor coordination - dexterity as well as eye, hand, foot and use of hand(s), wrist, arms, and fingers and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Must be able to occasionally: kneel, stoop, bend, grip, climb flights of stairs.
