Emanuelson-Podas is Hiring an Electrical Designer Near Minneapolis, MN

An Electrical Designer is an entry level role learning the foundation of electrical drawings and details. This person should be eager to learn and be able to start working towards independence under the direction of an Electrical Project Designer or Project Engineer.
Responsibilities Include:
  1. Provide electrical systems design, documentation, and construction administration for projects.
  2. Document production and coordination.
  3. Accurately, efficiently size, and lay out all aspects of lighting systems including use of light modeling software and energy calculations.
  4. Accurately, efficiently size, and lay out all aspects of power and low voltage systems including communications, fire alarms, and security systems.
  5. Construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review and RFIs.
Requirements
Minimum:
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Design or similar.
  • 0-2 Years relevant electrical design experience as a student, intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and/or academic coursework.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET Accredited Program.
  • 1 Years relevant electrical design experience as an intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and/or academic coursework.
  • 3 months experience utilizing the following engineering software: AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam.
  • Passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
