Embrace Treatment Foster Care is Hiring a Foster Care Supervisor Near Norfolk, VA

Under the general direction of the Program Director, the TFC Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of treatment foster care employees and related assignments for the assigned region.

The Supervisor will directly supervise and direct the work of up to eight (8) full time case workers within the assigned region.

The Supervisor must demonstrate attention to detail, strong organization and customer service skills and the ability to work in a dynamic work environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Direct supervisor for up to eight case workers within assigned region meeting at a minimum of once weekly and recording the supervision.
  • Assists the Program Director in all ongoing specific foster care recruitment, marketing, training and approval of foster parents as requested.
  • May manage a small case load of clients per staffing pattern thresholds.
  • Ensures all required documentation is completed correctly and timely by assigned case workers for all children and foster parents as required by licensing standards.
  • Communicates all incidents to the Program Director within 4 hours of occurrence and ensures all serious incident reports are disseminated appropriately within 24 hours.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other case involved service providers and professionals, such as attorneys, school personnel, social workers, and probation counselors, and NCG’s home-based service providers.
  • Participates in court hearings, school meetings, FAPT, child study, and other interdisciplinary or diagnostic meetings/assessments when necessary.
  • Communicates directly to the Program Director all case activity, service barriers, and procedural problems
  • All other duties as assigned by Program Director and/or Executive Director to increase effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
  • All Supervisors are required to be on call and available to respond to crisis 24/7.
