We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to supervise the field construction of commercial projects

including its organization, planning, and scheduling to complete the work on time, within budget, and with

quality. The Construction Superintendent reports to the Project Manager.

An ideal candidate should be willing and able to travel to construction sites throughout the United States. They

should for experience with planning, construction, construction documents and cost management.

Safety Champion:

• Foster a strong safety culture by leading by example and advocating for an injury-free environment.

• Investigate safety incidents, implement corrective actions, and provide retraining as needed.

Project Management:

• Oversee all aspects of project safety, subcontractor management, and workflow organization.

• Conduct regular safety meetings with staff and subcontractors.

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including logistics, procedures, quality control, and scheduling.

• Ensure compliance with all project specifications and contracts.

• Manage critical project paths, expediting materials and equipment for on-time delivery.

• Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, labor, and materials.

• Secure all necessary permits and collaborate with subcontractors on obtaining theirs.

• Facilitate inspections by relevant agencies.

• Manage labor relations on the project.

• Maintain effective communication with architects and engineers.

• Interpret plans and generate well-supported Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure project progress.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of building construction experience required for Superintendent.

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, methods, and materials (general and subcontract).

• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

• Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

• Experience with renovation/tenant improvement of commercial spaces (offices, warehouses, retail), and hospitality is a plus.
