Job Summary:The Project Engineer “Intern” assists the Project Management Staff while training for a Project Manager’s position. This is an exempt position and reports to the MEP Chief Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Engineering, HVAC designs, Load Calculations, Selection of Equipment, Air Balancing, Cost Estimation utilizing Autocad MEP
Revit and Trace.
Assist Project Management staff in making contact and researching customer needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with ASI clients
- Establish long-term , ongoing relationships with ASI clients
- Learn estimating techniques and software programs
- Learn HVAC engineering techniques and related software programs (heating & cooling loads, fluid & air transfer, equipment specification and selection)
- Assist Project Management Staff in supporting clients, managing multiple projects, procuring equipment, and generating design drawings
- Learn construction project job-costing and accounting principles
- Generate design drawings & compile permit documents
- Experience within Design/Builds HVAC - MEP Construction
- Proficient on MS Office Suite
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
