THE POSITION:

Emerald Installation, Inc. is looking for self-starting individuals to work in a growing company in an ever-expanding business. Someone that values excellent customer service, transparency, and pro-activity.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
An Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates and understanding the scope of work required. In addition, estimators are able to:

  • Measure customer’s home/space and determine the scope of work necessary to complete a project based on customer requirements
  • Measure and process up to 4 bids in a day.
  • Understand the scope of work required for different flooring materials and necessary transitions
  • Basic understanding of home improvements, remodeling, and general construction
  • Ability to map out an efficient daily route and call customers to adjust when necessary
  • Ability to prepare and submit computerized bids by end of day and rebids based on customer requests within 24 hours
  • Email partners and update customer folders with current bids, documents, and photos
  • Interact and maintain relationships with installers to ensure work contracted can be accomplished
  • Ability to maintain and develop continued partnerships and customer relationships, as well as pursue and foster new relationships
  • Attends department/company meetings as required
  • Supports entire company with other various office administrative duties

*Job responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and are subject to change as needed. Some travel is required. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to submit to a background check. Bilingual Spanish speaking not required but preferred.

THE LOCATION:

This position is primarily located at our Poulsbo office but may require travel from Lacey to Seattle depending on customer needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a warehouse/office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely an active role; however, some sedentary work is required. This would require the ability to lift carpet and pad, bend or stand as necessary. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly preferred, accommodations can be made as needed. Driving from site to site makes up at least 50% of the daily task.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position

Shifts are currently from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday

Work availability 7:00am - 7:00pm Monday through Sunday preferred for future growth.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Applicant must submit a background check
  • Applicant must provide an acceptable driver’s abstract prior to being hired
  • Experience with project management and/or construction sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience
  • Associate Degree in a relevant field
  • 1 year of construction administrative experience
  • Bilingual

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
