Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting clerk based in Fayetteville, GA. This person will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This role is crucial to supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Assist with financial audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Senior Accountant.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Job Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or related industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation: Exempt starting pay: $55,000
