Emerald is Hiring an Attendee Acquisition Sales Director- LATAM Near New York, NY

Overview:

Emerald is seeking a dynamic Attendee Acquisition International Sales Director for the Latin America region to lead the strategic direction and drive the management of VIP buyer acquisition efforts for ASD Market Weekthe largest and most diverse wholesale merchandise trade event in the United States.

As the Latin America Audience Acquisition Director, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing growth strategies targeted at VIP-level decision-makers in top-performing Latin American countries, particularly Mexico. Your role will involve managing and expanding a pipeline of prospects, effectively promoting our events, securing registrations, and ensuring a seamless attendee experience. Your insights will be pivotal in shaping our future product and attendance strategies through close collaboration with the Brand Leader.

This position can be performed remotely in the United States, or from any one of the Emerald Office Locations.

Bilingual Spanish/English Required

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Mapping : Develop and execute territory-specific strategies, focusing on field/outside sales and account management to engage executive-level prospects.
  • Data-driven decision-making : Utilize and enhance existing metrics to set future growth targets, track pipeline development, and monitor sales achievements.
  • Outbound Sales Prospecting: Engage in intensive outbound sales activities (heavy call volume), identifying and reaching out to potential VIP attendees through various channels to build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring consistent engagement and conversion rates.
  • Voice of the Customer : Act as a liaison between attendees and internal teams, championing customer feedback for product enhancement and strategic alignment.
  • Brand Evangelism: Represent the brand at various speaking engagements to elevate market understanding and engagement.
  • Cultural Adaptation: Translate marketing materials to Spanish, enhancing our outreach efforts in the Latin American region.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Maintain a personal business book while supporting team efforts through sales calls and presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Experience: Solid retail background, particularly in consumer goods at a buying or wholesale level in Latin America (ideally based in Mexico), with a proven track record in sales leadership and strategy execution in a high-paced environment.
  • Cross-functional Skills : Strong ability to work collaboratively with marketing, finance, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-evolving environment, ready to adapt strategies swiftly to meet changing demands.
  • Senior Level Engagement: Demonstrated experience in engaging with and influencing senior decision-makers.
  • Communication Skills : Exceptional ability to communicate with and manage relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Industry Insight: A deep understanding of the retail, wholesale, and distribution sectors within the consumer goods industry, as well as a well-established network in this area, is highly advantageous.
  • Sales Process Expertise: Skilled in using and managing effective, technology-driven sales processes; experience with key MS Office platforms such as Excel is expected.
  • Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $100,000-110,000 (Sales Incentive Eligible)

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidates qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
