Emerge is recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Material Specialist position in Erie, PA, for our client, a stable manufacturer of quality products.

The Material Specialist will oversee shipping, and receiving an dsome purchasing at the plant. Responsibilities include creating and monitoring purchase orders, ensuring orders are correct and delivered on time, and monitoring compliance for federal contracts.

Responsibilities for the Materials Specialist position in Erie, PA, will include :

• Oversight of shipping and receiving processes to ensure dates are correct.
• Ensuring all products are packaged and transported according to contract requirements.
• Documenting shipping compliance and maintaining records.
• Utilizing the ERP system to ensure on-time and correct deliveries is desired.

Qualifications :

• Tow (2) or more years of experience with working in supply chain or shipping and receiving at a high level, Military logistics, or recent Supply Chain Logisitics graduate.
• Highly organized and detail oriented in interpreting and negotiating contracts with transportation companies.
• Prior experience working with government and military documentation.
• Experience in creating and monitoring purchase orders.
• Ability to pass the required federal background checks.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires "U.S. person status".
