Part-Time, Assistant Lab Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Assistant Lab Manager. The Assistant Lab Manager will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of our laboratory. This includes assisting with day-to-day lab activities as well as be responsible for preparing for and completing CLIA inspections, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with DHEC procedures, and training lab technicians.
Job Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing minimal day-to-day laboratory operations including specimen handling, processing, and testing.
• Aid in preparing for DHEC CLIA inspections and ensure compliance with CLIA regulations.
• Complete DHEC CLIA inspections and address any findings or deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including test results, quality control data, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Take responsibility for laboratory maintenance, including cleanliness, organization, and calibration of equipment.
• Ensure that laboratory manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Train and supervise laboratory techs, guiding proper techniques and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate test results and facilitate effective communication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• 1 year of previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, with knowledge of DHEC CLIA regulations and inspections.
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements of the Job
Will require travel between the Greenville and Boiling Springs office
