Apparel Designer
Our client, an activewear and loungewear apparel brand, is searching for an e-commerce inventory planner located on-site at their New York City location. From fleece to activewear to sleep, our client provides the best apparel needs for everyone. Our client’s priority is to continue creating items, focused on emphasizing inclusivity, variety, and comfort.
This designer will be responsible for designing categories for the Real Essentials brand and/or it's licensed subsidiaries. This person must be collaborative and receptive to feedback to sure the success of the product line.
Responsibilities:
• Will be responsible for the design and development of ready-to-wear categories including activewear, loungewear, dresses and other apparel categories
• Create original and innovative designs that are aligned with the brand guidelines and personality of the brand
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and determine white space in our assortment regarding style, fabric and silhouette
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and must be comfortable managing several projects at once
Qualifications:
• 5 years’ experience in Apparel Design
• Bachelor's degree in design or related field or relevant work experience
• Self-starter, team player, strong follow up skills, and sense of urgency. Must be deadline oriented.
• Strong knowledge fabric, fitting, grading, construction, and technologies relevant to performance apparel is necessary.
• Strong understanding of design, development, and merchandising process from inception through production.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools
