We are seeking a knowledgeable and target-driven individual to join our team as a Policy Analyst, Sr. to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This position plays a critical role in ensuring technology serves our veterans effectively. Further, it analyzes IT policies and their impact on VA initiatives, developing data-driven recommendations to improve veteran access to services. 

Pay Range: $90,000/year – $110,000/year 

Work Responsibilities: 

• Identify potential policy gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement related to veteran-focused IT initiatives. 

• Evaluate the impact of existing and proposed IT policies on veteran access to services, data security, and overall well-being. 

• Create and recommend evidence-based policy solutions to enhance veteran-centric IT programs and ensure alignment with VA's mission. 

• Develop clear and concise policy recommendations, supported by data and analysis, to address critical IT challenges facing veterans. 

• Lead discussions and presentations on IT policy matters, effectively communicating complex information to a diverse audience. 

• Demonstrate excellent research, analytical, and writing skills to produce high-quality policy documents and recommendations. 

• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the potential security and privacy implications of new IT policies. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience analyzing and supporting public policy implementation at federal departments or agencies. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience of policy implementation at multiple large-scale deployments. 

• Bachelor’s (J.D. preferred) degree in Public Policy, Law, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or related fields. 

• Possess a strong understanding of federal IT policy frameworks, cybersecurity regulations, and data privacy laws impacting the VA.
