EmeritusDX is seeking a Territory Business Manager who is eager to learn and contribute to our company's growth.

Position Summary:

The Territory Business Manager (TBM) reports to the Regional Director of Sales and serves as the primary customer owner and contact for all accounts within their assigned territory. The TBM is responsible for engaging with stakeholders such as pathology, community oncology, hospital oncology, academic centers, reference labs, and private physician groups, selling the full portfolio. This role involves identifying opportunities to expand market share, maintaining existing business, and acquiring new customers. The TBM manages the entire sales process for assigned accounts and collaborates with specialist teams and support resources to enhance account value.

Core Responsibilities:

• Achieve annual sales goals by effectively managing and satisfying customer needs within the assigned territory

• Manage the entire sales process for assigned territory

• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in accounts

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts

• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop strategies for account growth

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape

• Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and problem-solving

• Conduct consultative sales and promotion of EmeritusDX’s products within the assigned territory

• Participate in market development activities

• Generate ideas that contribute to the territory, business unit, and company growth

• Rapidly respond to changes in the internal/external environment; champion new initiatives

• Develop and update annual business plans regularly; prioritize and manage time effectively; maintain appropriate contact with all accounts; develop and execute account-specific strategies; utilize resources effectively

• Identify and build relationships with customers at all levels within each organization; leverage contacts to achieve business objectives when appropriate; establish consistently positive rapport

• Achieve goals for product sales; maintain consistent momentum in the sales cycle; demonstrate self-discipline and self-direction; overcome obstacles; maintain a high work ethic; create sales opportunities

• Identify personal and professional development objectives and plans to achieve them

• Participate in sales meetings, seminars, industry conferences, and tradeshows; manage event coordination

• Provide results to inquiring clients in accordance with department SOPs

• Fulfill Sales Administration duties such as expense reporting within guidelines outlined in the company’s Travel & Entertainment Policy

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures protecting the privacy of patients and the confidentiality of their information in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws. Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all communications

Position Objectives:

• Use effective questioning techniques in sales calls; develop a basic understanding of company products and corresponding competitive products; demonstrate effective negotiation; timely response to internal and external customers

• Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals for the assigned territory

• Complete individual objectives assigned by the Regional Director of Sales and meet agreed-upon deadlines

• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff

• Provide quality service to EmeritusDX’s internal and external customers

• Effectively schedule and manage resources to meet department goals

• Adhere to EmeritusDX core values, safety, and compliance policies and procedures

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a business-related field preferred, not required.

Qualification Requirements:

• Five (5) or more years of direct sales experience in a clinical and/or laboratory market environment preferred

• Strong closing skills; prior attendance at formal sales training courses is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization

• Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position preferred

• Proven oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills

• Knowledge of the clinical and/or laboratory market environment and products

• Ability to learn and retain product-specific information and utilize it to position the features and benefits to customers

• Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments

• Proficiency with MS Office programs

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Valid driver’s license for the state of residence required

Travel Required:

• Ability to travel as required by the role (up to 75% of the time). Some overnight travel may be required
