Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate electrical work during construction, commissioning, and handover of capital projects.
• Review and generate electrical designs such as single line drawings, grounding plans, and motor control schematics. Ensure designs are in compliance with the National Electric Code.
• Perform and review necessary calculations to support electrical designs.
• Review and generate loop drawings, instrument plans, and instrument specifications sheets as required to support capital projects.
• Work with Electrical Engineering Consultant on detailed design of electrical supply and distribution system for large capital projects.
• Prepare electrical design specifications and scope document for small capital projects.
• Assist Maintenance department in setting up planned maintenance of capital projects.
• Assist Maintenance department in troubleshooting and fault analysis of electrical/instrumentation problems and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.

• Review and implement changes to Cincinnati Emery electrical standards where necessary.
• Witness electrical Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of equipment and field tests.

• Support equipment start-up.
• Assist reliability group to develop and improve predictive and preventative maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability.
• Recommends, source, and ensure proper installation of electrical equipment.
• Provide occasional training to the electrical department when gaps of job knowledge are identified.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, including requirements for electrical installations in classified areas.
• Experience working in a chemical manufacturing site is preferred.
• Experience working with 480VAC distribution, instrumentation and controls.
• Awareness of medium voltage distribution.
