We are seeking an experienced Welder to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal components to assemble structural forms, tanks, and other metal products. As a key member of our team, the Welder will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work Set up welding machines and equipment Weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products Use hand and power tools to grind and cut metal Perform maintenance on welding equipment and machinery Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred 3 years of experience in welding, with experience in a construction setting preferred Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
