Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) is seeking to hire Anesthetists - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) - to become a vital part of Emory Healthcare’s integrated academic healthcare system.

Work Hours / Schedule :

  • Full Time, Partial Call (no night coverage required)
  • 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts.

Work Location(s) :

Work locations to be determined during the interview process, based on practice needs and employee’s geographical convenience.

  • Emory Johns Creek Hospital (EJCH), 6325 Hospital Pkwy, Johns Creek, GA 30097.
  • Emory University Ortho & Spine Hospital (EUOSH), 1455 Montreal Rd E, Tucker, GA 30084.
  • Ambulatory Surgical Centers located around the City of Atlanta, Dunwoody, Decatur, Alpharetta, Roswell, Kennesaw, Jonesboro, LaGrange.

Highlights of joining the ESA Anesthetist Team (Partial Call, no night coverage) :

  • Salary range : $183,300 - $220,000 per year (for Full Time, 1.0FTE) based on years of experience as an Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA).
  • 37 days of PTO (for Full Time 1.0FTE), Benefits coverage, including PTO accrual, will begin from first day of employment

Emory Specialty Associates (ESA), handles Ortho / Spine, General Surgery, Plastics, OB & GYN, GI and Outpatient Specialty cases at Emory Johns Creek Hospital (EJCH), Emory Ortho & Spine Hospital (EUOSH) and 14 Outpatient Surgical Centers located in the greater Atlanta Metro area.

ESA Anesthetists are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system committed to caring, excellence, integrity and value.

  • Under the direction of an Anesthesiologist, assists in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients.
  • Performs initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician.
  • Interprets and records patient's physiological and pharmacological status.
  • Assists the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
  • Instructs others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by the anesthesiologist.
  • Assists in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist.
  • Establishes multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations, including ECG, direct arterial pressure, central venous pressure, arterial blood gas determinations, hematocrits, and routine measurement of temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate.
  • Establishes other monitoring as may be developed for anesthesia and intensive care use.
  • Manages pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilatory support of patients as assigned by an Anesthesiologist.
  • Manages ventilators and other respiratory care parameters as directed by the physician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master’s Degree program.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia. Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
  • Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs).
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) required.
