Are you passionate about making a difference in the field of Med-Surg / Complex Medicine) ? Look no further! On 6G our staff are recognized as experts in the broadest of specialties – general medicine. Working on 6G, you will hone your skills working with peritoneal dialysis, accessing ports, and administering chemotherapy (multimodal antibiotic therapy, insulin and heparin drips, blood products and patient controlled analgesia).

• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Populations/Typical Diagnoses: sickle cell, various complex patients with multiple diagnoses, cancer, gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, kidney failure, amputees with complications, infections, and joint replacements.
• Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4

Mi Nimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
• Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
• Exceptions: Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.
