Emory Healthcare is Hiring a Senior Net Patient Service Revenue Analyst Near Atlanta, GA

Description

  • This position reports to the Director, Net Patient Service Revenue and coordinates with the analysis for Net Patient Service Revenue for Emory Healthcare.
    • 1. Assists in year-end audits; provides detailed schedules and analysis to support financial statements.
    • 2. Reviews current control procedures and assists in the development of new procedures to improve internal control measures.
    • 3. Works with external and internal auditors to interpret schedules and resolve discrepancies.
    • 4. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency of reporting practices.
    • 5. May assist in preparing, developing, and monitoring department/Hospital budget and compliance with fiscal constraints related to net patient service revenue.
    • 6. Provides information and analysis for long-range financial and cash flow forecasting;
      • projects data trends in net patient service revenue;
      • provides analysis to determine the impact of payer mix and changes to operations on net patient service revenue;
      • makes recommendations to management.
    • 7. Supports analysis involving new business initiatives and models net patient service revenue impacts.
    • 8. Develops and maintains expertise on state, federal, and organizational regulations and guidelines;
      • makes recommendations on policy issues to maintain compliance with regulations and guidelines.
    • 9. Develops and implements procedures consistent with established policies.
    • 10. Reviews, revises, and communicates guidelines to ensure compliance.
    • 11. Analyzes current policies and procedures and assesses effectiveness.
    • 12. Manages special projects;
      • coordinates the preparation of special impact studies and other financial surveys and questionnaires.
    • 13. Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational in-services as appropriate.
    • 14. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
    • 15. Prepares and analyzes statistical reports, financial statements, and supporting schedules for management;
      • prepares reports on actual and budgeted financial information;
      • works with management to develop assumptions and historical costs;
      • projects impact of new programs or projects; analyzes variances on returns;
      • monitors, analyzes, and reports on the activity of programs.
  • 16. Identifies, develops, and implements methods for improving reporting efficiency. Identifies requirements and develops reports required by state and federal agencies and ensures compliance.
  • 17. Coordinates third party reporting requirements; maintains compliance with all regulations.
  • 18. Analyzes monthly financial performance relative to budget and prior periods;
    • documents variances in a narrative format that concisely and accurately describes the situation.
  • 19. Provides guidance and direction to professional staff.
  • 20. Performs related responsibilities as required. Minimum Qualifications: 
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or technology related field with 4 years related experience required, preferably in healthcare with a MBA or CPA preferred.
    • Preferred:
    • Knowledge and experience with Epic, Stratajazz, PeopleSoft, SQL, Power BI, EPSI and Kodiak (RCA).

Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
