Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the architecture of the Single Family, Multi Family and Financial suite of HFA products.
- Assist the team with implementing new modules or system functionality specifically in the areas of user interface, user experience, optimization of queries, process architecture, and development best practices.
- Implement standardization across products to facilitate products’ on-going maintenance and transferability.
- Support Product Managers in the design and deployment of new modules, add-ons, or functionality.
- Manage all development environments for the Microfocus products.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product support and new development.
- Ensure loading COBOL systems on test and production environment(s) and setup if necessary.
- Reproduce critical issues related to development and fix them as well as converting backlog items to software tasks based on the architecture.
- Conducting testing and Change control deployments.
- Contribute feedback and input to implement best design practices.
- Adhere to reporting standards set up by upper management.
- 3 years of experience in COBOL development, including all aspects of SDLC.
- Self-disciplined, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good team player and self-starter with excellent communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience developing formal estimations for project completion.
